To: Home Group Leaders

Dearly beloved,

Congratulations for your Decision to host a Home Group!

Firstly, a big congratulation to you for making your home available to God’s precious people as a Home Group-base for the Church. The blessing of the Lord due to those who host God’s people and presence (where two or three are gathered together in His name…) will surely be your portion.

See How God blesses Homes hosting God’s children

In our pastoral ministry over the years, we have seen how God blessed people like you who responded to making their home ‘a home for God’s people’. Not just because they shared their homes as Home group venue did God bless them. No, much more because they caught the revelation and envisioned the blessing for what they were doing. They had simply believed the revelation and caught the vision of the Word we shared with them as follows. You can believe too, and end up with this special blessing. Here’s the revelation for you to envision –

Revelation for your vision to host a Home Group

Paul the apostle wrote of Gaius-

“Gaius who is host to me and to the whole church here, greets you” Rom 16:23 AMP.

This man, Gaius, caught the vision and was in the habit of hosting God’s people. Not just Paul the apostle, even John the beloved apostle; he wrote a whole epistle just to commend Gaius’ service and to pronounce the blessing (3 John).

So, we know that John the apostle wrote the book of 3 John specifically to Gaius ( see verse 1), pouring upon him the blessing that such helpers of the brethren are entitled to, as their divine reward. He prayed –

“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and (that your body) may keep well, even as (I know) your soul keeps well and prospers” (verse 2) AMP.

Therefore, as host to God’s people, expect to be specially blessed to prosper in every way, and that your body will keep well even as your spiritual life prospers!

(2) Even in the old testament, when the Ark of God (which represented the presence of God) was kept for three months in the house of Obededom; what was the outcome? We would answer that in a moment. Remember, in the new testament, where 2 or 3 are gathered, there you have the presence of the Lord. In the old testament, that physical ark was the presence, while in the new testament the Lord’s Spirit is that presence.

And the ark of God remained with the family of Obededom in his house three months. And the Lord blessed the house of Obededom, and all that he had” (1 Chronicles 13:14).

Here’s praying the blessing, and expecting the ”Obededom order of blessing” for you and family, and upon all that you have, in Jesus name!

Please find attached the Home Group brochure; all you need to get off to a fly start.

Carefully study it before you attempt to ask any question, as most of the potential questions have been covered. Once you have read it well, we can then talk about it, because you may still need some clarification. I will expect your call, if need be. Otherwise, happy new beginning with all your team, and we can have your feedback at the upcoming church Services.

Love in Christ,

Paul
