Statement Of Faith

We believe:

(i) THE SCRIPTURES
That the Bible is the infallible, inspired and authoritative Word of God to prevail in all matters pertaining to conduct and doctrine (2 Tim. 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21, 1 Thessalonians 2:13).

(ii) THE GODHEAD & TRINITY
One God, revealed as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Father is the Creator of Heaven and Earth; the Son is the Word-made-flesh, conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, died on the cross, rose again, and ascended into heaven, and will soon return;
the Holy Spirit proceeds forth from both the Father and the Son (Gen. 1:1; 1 John 5:7; John 15: 26).

(iii) MAN AND REDEMPTION THROUGH CHRIST
Man was created in the image and likeness of God, but through Adam’s transgression and fall, sin came into the world. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, gave his life, shedding his blood to redeem and restore man back to God; there is no other Name by which man may be saved except that of Jesus Christ (Gen 2: 7; 5:2; 3:14-15; John 3:16).

(iv) SALVATION AND ETERNAL LIFE
Repentance from sin and faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ, by the new Birth, secures eternal life
(John 3:3-5, 1 John 5:12).

(v) THE BODY OF CHRIST
The Church is one body with Christ, and in the strength and power of the Holy Ghost, has the supreme task to take the Gospel to all nations, teaching and making disciples for Christ.
(Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-18).

(vi) SANCTIFICATION
The perfection of the saints as a definite yet, progressive work of grace, beginning at the time of
the new Birth and continuing until the consummation of salvation at Christ’s return (2 Peter 3:18; 1 Thessalonians. 5:23; 2 Corinthians 3:18).

(vii) WATER BAPTISM
As a commandment of the Lord, is by immersion and for believers, being a sign of Believer’s identification with Christ in His death and resurrection (Matthew 28:19; Acts 8:26-39).

(viii) BAPTISM OF THE HOLY GHOST
An experience subsequent to the New Birth, accompanied by the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit gives utterance (Acts 1:8; 2:4; 19:1-7).

(ix) DIVINE HEALING, SIGNS & WONDERS
Effected by the power of God, through the prayer of faith, laying on of hands and other scriptural means exemplified in the earthly ministry of Jesus and the Apostles (Mark 6:12-13, James 5:14-15. Matthew 8:15; Mark 16:18).

(x) THE SECOND COMING, THE RESURRECTION OF THE JUST & ETERNAL HELL
The coming of the Lord is imminent; when He comes, ‘…the dead in Christ shall rise first, then we which are alive…’ (ACTS 1:11, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17); the Sinner who dies without accepting Christ is eternally lost in the lake of fire (Hebrews 9:27, Revelation 19:20).
